If Incorrect Information Is Printed on Your Passport

  • First, identify the incorrect information: -
    • Error in Name
    • Birthplace or Date of Birth
    • Marital Status
    • Change in Gender
    • Address or other details
  • If any information printed on your passport is incorrect, you must apply for a passport renewal. Before applying for renewal, ensure that the incorrect details printed on your passport are not mentioned in any of your supporting documents.
  • If all your documents are correct and only the passport contains the error, you will need to apply for passport renewal.

  • Visit Passport Seva Kendra on your date of appointment for document verification.

  • After its successful verification, the corrected passport will be sent to your address via speed post.

Note*

  • Before final submission, verify all details twice.
  • Ensure your documents are correct and updated before submitting the online application.
  • If any details submitted in the application form are incorrect, they can be corrected at the first counter on the appointment date.
