Lost Passport
- If your passport is lost or stolen, you must apply for its reissue or renewal.
- First, the applicant must prepare an affidavit from the court and also file an FIR (First Information Report) at the police station where the passport was lost.
- Police will mention the GD Number (General Diary) number in the report; without this, the FIR is not considered valid for passport purposes.
- Passport renewal can be done online from the Passport Seva Portal.
