Can I Make Corrections After Filling the Passport Application
Ques.-1 After submitting the online application form, how can I correct its discrepancy?
Answer: It is impossible to correct details in the application form once it has been submitted. However, the correction can be made on the day of your appointment, where you have to request a correction form and inform the officials at the desk about the corrections. Such a correction can only be made for limited entries; for major changes, you will need to close this ongoing application file and start with a new file with the correct information.
Ques.-2 What should I do if I entered incorrect details during the application process?
Answer: You can make corrections in the application form until you have submitted it or the fee has not been paid. Before submission, you can fill the form again or edit details for required changes. However, in case the application form and the fees have already been submitted, you can correct the details on the Passport office appointment day. For such a correction, inform the officials in advance and fill out the correction form. This facility is available for minor (limited type) correction. For major corrections, close the current passport file and fill out the new application one with the correct details.
Note*
Please fill out the passport application form carefully and ensure details submitted are correct.
