Process of Getting an Appointment at a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)

• After filling out the passport application form online on the Passport Seva Portal, applicants need to pay the fees. Once the payment is successful, you will get the option to Pay and Schedule an Appointment. Upon clicking the same, you can choose the PSK/POPSK and appointment date from the list as per your convenience.
• A confirmation of this appointment will be sent via email along with a receipt. On the appointment date, you must present this appointment letter and other documents at the PSK/POPSK.
• In case you miss the scheduled appointment or are unable to visit on the given date, you can reschedule or cancel your appointment. As per your convenience, you may then select a new date of appointment. For a normal passport application, you can reschedule this date up to three times, while in the case of a Tatkal application, such a facility is allowed only two times.

How to Get an RPO Enquiry Appointment?

• An RPO Enquiry appointment can be booked online through the Passport Seva Portal.
• This appointment is required when your passport application is put on hold or delayed due to negative police verification, incomplete verification, or any other issue. In such cases, you can book an appointment with the RPO and visit on the scheduled date.
• To book an appointment, visit the Passport Seva Portal.
• Open your application and click on the "Schedule Appointment" for an enquiry at RPO.
• Select the RPO and choose the earliest date to book your slot.

Ques: 1 Is it possible to apply for a Passport without visiting the Passport Seva Kendra?

Answer: You can only submit your passport application online from home through the Passport Seva Portal. However, for document verification, it is mandatory to visit the Passport Seva Kendra. Without visiting a PSK, a passport cannot be issued.
